This module aims to emphasise the importance of kindness in developing positive workplaces and organisational cultures. While kindness begins with the individual, you will also look at how nurses can adopt emotional leadership and collective leadership styles to promote intelligent kindness and deliver evidence-based person-centred care. Learning aims and intended outcomes After completing this module and the time out activities, you should be able to: Define the concept of kindness and explain it to your colleagues. Understand how practising with unkindness can negatively affect patients and other service users. Reflect on how the concept of purposeful behaviour can inform person-centred care. Understand your role in leading with kindness and developing an organisational culture that supports compassionate practice and the well-being of staff.
