This course will provide you with the resources to support an introduction to critical care. Here you will explore the identification of the use of self care mechanisms, including coping strategies to promote self-health.

Who is this course for?
This course is aimed at nurses and nursing support workers across all settings and levels of practice, including students of health, social work and care professions.
What will I learn?
- concepts of critical care and the principles of critical care nursing
- understanding of the multidisciplinary team roles within critical care
- identifying and acting upon the signs of deterioration in a patient in critical care
- supporting needs of family and carers
- recognising, assessing and treating common physical and psychological symptoms in the critically ill patient
- the need for resilience in self and others and introduce areas of wellness.
