This practical learning module is aimed at helping nurses learn, practise and update their numerical skills to ensure the safe administration of intravenous (IV) medication. The mathematical, procedural and conceptual factors that can result in medication errors are examined and opportunities to practise skills and to reflect upon personal competence are offered.
